NXS: Brad Keselowski wins Alsco 300 at Charlotte

Brad Keselowski won today’s NASCAR Xfinity Series race at Charlotte MotorSpeedway in a overtime finish, claiming his second win in just his second start this season.

Keselowski, who started on the pole, won against Cole Custer, Christopher Bell, Ty Dillion and Elliott Sadler.

Keselowski’s other win came at Phoenix.

The Team Penske NO.22 driver led for 78 laps, taking the lead again on Lap 161 of the 200-lap race.

Driver NO.22 overcame hot and humid conditions and an hour-long rain delay Saturday at Charlotte Motor Speedway to become the first repeat winner in the NASCAR Xfinity Series this season.

“I don’t know if i have ever been that hot in a race car,” Keselowski said. “It was smoking out there.”

Keselowski’s Xfinty Series win comes just days after team owner Roger Penske was selected into the NASCAR Hall of Fame.

 Kyle Busch:  Kyle Busch who won both stages of the race lost control of his NO.18 NOS Energy Drink Toyota Camry in the third stage. This would ultimently trigger Busch’s chance at victory on Saturday afternoon.

 Elliott Sadler: NASCAR Xfinity Series points leader Elliott Sadler has shown consistency throughout the 2018 NASCAR Xfinity Series season. Thus far, Sadler has earned nine top fives and 10 top ten’s, including a runner-up finish at Dover. Driver NO. 1 finished fifth today.

However, Sadler’s winless streak reached 50. The Virginia native’s last win was at Kentucky Speedway on September 24th, 2016.

 Kaz Grala:  Driving for Fury Race Cars, Kaz Grala had a very solid debut finishing in the 10th position. Grala will drive the NO. 61 Ford, Mustang for the next four races.
