Roush Fenway Racing Releases No. 60 Ford Development Team Driver Schedule

Roush Fenway Racing has announced the full 2018 driver schedule for the No. 60 Ford  Mustang, that will feature the trio of talented young up-and-coming Ford Development drivers Austin Cindric, Chase Briscoe and Ty Majeski competing in the NASCAR XFINITY Series.

Cindric will kick off the season in the No. 60 Ford Mustang, making his Daytona NXS debut at the famed superspeedway on Feb 17.  Briscoe makes his No. 60 debut the following week in Atlanta (Feb. 24) and Majeski takes the helm for the first time in 2018 at Bristol (April 7).

“We’re really excited to get going,” said No. 60 crew chief Mike Kelley. “We spent the winter hanging out with these guys. I could not have asked for three better drivers.  They all bring something different to the table, but together we are going after the Owner’s Championship.  We’re all looking forward to some big things from Ford and these drivers.”

In addition to Daytona, Cindric will compete in eight races throughout the 2018 season. Chase Briscoe and Ty Majeski will compete 12 times in the No. 60 as the trio have their eyes set on the NXS Owners Championship.

The trio are part of a development team, known as #TheProgram60, designed to continue the progression and development of the three drivers with collaboration from Ford Performance and Team Penske.

The trio will look to build on the rich history of Roush Fenway’s No. 60 that includes a NASCAR record 93 wins and almost 16,000 laps led. NASCAR Hall of Famer Mark Martin was a dominating fixture in the car in the 90s and Carl Edwards, Greg Biffle and Chris Buescher each drove the car to NXS championships.
