Spencer Gallagher No. 23 Allegiant Chevrolet Camaro Charlotte Motor Speedway

Spencer Gallagher and the No. 23 Allegiant team unloaded on Friday for their fourth time at Charlotte Motor Speedway. Gallagher got two practice sessions in finishing 11th in first practice and 17th in final.

Due to inclement weather, qualifying for the NASCAR XFINITY Series (NXS) Blue Cross Blue Shield NC 300 was cancelled and the field was set by owners points. Gallagher started the 200-lap race from the 24th position. Gallagher reported to crew chief Joey Cohen that he was loose in traffic and tight on landing. After stage one ended, Gallagher came to pit road from the 16th position for four tires and fuel, restarting 15th. Gallagher was running in the 11th position when he made contact with the wall on lap 62 ending his night early and relegating him to finish 34th.

Quote

“It was a tough night for my GMS Racing team. We were about to break into the top-10 when I got too high into turn three putting me into the wall and I cost us a good finish.”
