Spencer Gallagher No. 23 Allegiant Chevrolet Camaro Dover International Speedway

Spencer Gallagher and the No. 23 Allegiant team unloaded for their second time at Dover International Speedway on Friday. Gallagher in completed two practice sessions finishing first practice 23rd and final practice 22nd.

 

Gallagher started the 200-lap race from the 20th position. Gallagher was struggling with a tight handling condition on exit. Crew chief Joey Cohen called Gallagher to pit road after both stage breaks to receive four tires, fuel and chassis adjustments.Gallagher made his way into the top-15 on lap 69 but made contact with the wall and dropped back into the 24th position, 1 lap down. Trying to gain as many spots as he could, Gallagher brought the No. 23 Allegiant Chevrolet home in the 24th position, 2 laps down.

“We had a good little race car today. We got up into the top-15 but then got put in the wall. After that the nose was just plowing and I was really tight. I’m really excited about going to Charlotte (Motor Speedway) this weekend. I feel like we will be really strong there.”
