B.J. McLeod Motorsports heads to the Irish Hills with Keen Parts

Continuing to mount crucial NASCAR XFINITY Series points, B.J. McLeod Motorsports heads for the Irish Hills of Michigan International Speedway for Saturday’s Irish Hill 250 looking to continue a stretch of solid finishes for the three-car organization.

For Saturday’s race, the Mooresville, N.C.-based team is thrilled to welcome back the support of Keen Parts who will back team principal and XFINITY Series sophomore driver B.J. McLeod in his No. 8 Chevrolet Camaro.

Keen Parts is small enough to give personalized service and assistance with your project, yet large enough to supply you with those hard to find specialty parts. They strive to go the extra mile to help you get your project done, be it a complete interior for your vintage ’58 Corvette or a performance accessory for your ’09 – They’ll have the Corvette parts you need and the expertise you want.

“We’re stoked to welcome back Keen Parts to B.J. McLeod Motorsports this weekend at Michigan,” said McLeod. “We had their support for several races and they were great to work and our Theresa Keen and their staff are true Motorsports supporters.

“Michigan is a wicked fast race track, but it’s also a lot of fun. I’m hoping that with their support we can have a good finish with all three cars on Saturday afternoon.”

For the second straight week, McLeod will be joined by NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) veteran Tommy Joe Martins who will drive the team’s flagship No. 78 Chevrolet for his Michigan XFINTY Series debut.

And like his 2017 XFINITY Series debut at Pocono, Martins will be supported by Diamond Gusset Jeans. Last weekend at the 2.5-mile triangle, Martins gained priceless experience at the Tricky Triangle finishing a respectable 29th.

A native of Como, Mississippi, Martins has one start at Michigan, a solid 15th place run in Brooklyn during last August’s Truck Series race.

“I had a blast at Pocono and looking forward to returning to Michigan this weekend,” said Joe Martins. “We had a really good run with the Truck there last year and I’m hoping I can carry that success over to the XFINITY Series car on Saturday.

“I sincerely appreciate the opportunity that B.J. and Jessica McLeod are giving me, and of course Diamond Gusset Jeans for their continued support.”

Diamond Gusset Jean Co. is an American made clothing company based in Bon Aqua, Tennessee. Diamond Gusset was founded in 1987 to develop an entirely new jean concept utilizing a gusset for extra durability and enhanced comfort.

David Starr, currently ranked 24th in the XFINITY Series standings complete the three-car BJMM trio.

McLeod, a native of Wauchula, Fla. will make his second career start at Michigan. Last June, he qualified a competitive 28th and was in pursuit of a top-20 finish before being sidelined by transmission woes.

Martins will make his 15th career XFINITY Series start and first at Michigan. In his previous XFINITY runs, his best result is a 14th place result at Talladega (Ala.) Superspeedway in May 2014.

Starr, the Houston, Tex. native is set for his second start at the 2.0-mile oval and looks to better his 33rd place showing in 2015 after qualifying 21st.

For Michigan, B.J. McLeod Motorsports is also proud to welcome the additional support of ICE-FROST and @CouchCrewChief who will serve as associate marketing partners for the team’s 46th career XFINITY Series race.
