NXS: Quin Houff Brings Home 15th-Place Finish in Debut at Bristol

Quin Houff made his NASCAR XFINITY Series debut over the weekend at Bristol Motor Speedway for Precision Performance Motorsports. Houff, a 19-year old racer from the state of Virginia, made his debut in a car owned by Rick Gdovic in the No. 46 Chevrolet.

Houff started the event sitting 21st on the board when the 300-lap event got underway. When stage one ended on lap 85, Houff sat 22nd on the race leaderboard. When stage two ended on lap 170, the young racer sat 14th on the board.

In the closing laps of the Fitzgerald Glider Kits 300, Houff sat inside the top 10. However, with seven laps remaining, a caution slowed the field and caused the No. 46 Chevrolet to lose a number of spots on the restart. He would go on to take home a 15th-place finish in his NASCAR National Series debut.

“Wow what a day! Top 15 couldn’t have asked for anymore this weekend. Precision Performance Motorsports did awesome! So excited for RVA! Glory be to God!” said Quin in his post-race tweet. “I am beyond blessed to be able to have this opportunity and I couldn’t thank PPM and everyone enough for all the support.”

“The Precision Performance Team has once again put together the best value in XFINITY Series racing for this event,” said team owner Richard Gdovic.  “I am very proud of their efforts as well as Quin’s. Every time our team brings a car to the race track, we expect to be the top performing part time team and the best value for our driver’s and their sponsors.  Quin had a great performance with our team while his sponsors and family enjoyed the hospitality and behind the scenes experience the Precision Performance Team is well known for.”

In February Houff made his ARCA Racing Series debut for Mason Mitchell Motorsports at Daytona International Speedway. He led 23 laps of the race and had his day cut short due to a crash on lap 66 that involved seven other drivers.

Houff is currently on the NASCAR XFINITY Series entry list for this weekend’s race at Richmond International Raceway. He will once again be driving the No. 46 Chevrolet for Precision Performance Motorsports.
