Harrison Rhodes raced smoothly through a long afternoon at Bristol Motor Speedway and finished 23rd in Saturday’s Fitzgerald Glider Kits 300 Xfinity Series event at the track.
Rhodes qualified 29th in the G&K Services Chevrolet and drove patiently all afternoon despite numerous accidents and spins and a 1:38 wait for a rain delay.
“It was a long day,” Rhodes said, “but we had a pretty good car and were able to race along in the middle of the pack with some of the faster cars. Bringing one home here is a big deal, so we’re relatively pleased with the day.”
The finish boosted Rhodes two positions to 18th in the Xfinity driver standings.
