NXS: Larson Captures Fitzgerald Glider Kits 300 Pole

Kyle Larson will start on the pole in Saturday’s Fitzgerald Glider Kits 300 at Bristol Motor Speedway. Larson, driving the No. 42 ENEOS Chevrolet, posted a 14.992, 127.988 mph. in the final round of qualifying. It breaks the track record set by Erik Jones there last August.

Larson ended the first round sitting eighth and the second round sitting second on the leaderboard. It marks his second career NASCAR XFINITY Series pole.

Austin Dillon will start beside Larson in the No. 2 Chevrolet. Dillon sat 0.051 seconds behind after a lap of 15.043, 127.554 mph. when round three ended. Dillon enters the event looking to capture his ninth NASCAR XFINITY Series victory.

Rounding out the top three will be Cole Custer in the No. 00 Haas Automation Ford. Custer was the fastest XFINITY Series regular in the final round after posting a 15.074, 127.292 mph. The young driver led round one and sat fourth in round two.

Series points leader Elliott Sadler will start 17th. Sadler posted a 15.356, 124.954 mph. in the second round. The NASCAR veteran ended round one sitting 15th.
