JR Motorsports announced today a multi-race partnership with TMC Transportation, the nation’s largest employee-owned open deck transportation company, on board the team’s No. 5 entry driven by Michael Annett. The No. 5 team will carry TMC Transportation branding in multiple NASCAR Xfinity Series events this season, beginning at Indianapolis Motor Speedway (July 22).
Headquartered in Des Moines, Iowa, TMC Transportation provides expert transportation services and supply-chain management solutions throughout the 48 contiguous states. TMC Transportation joins Pilot Flying J as primary partners for Annett and the No. 5 team in 2017.
“We’re proud to be able to announce the addition of TMC to JR Motorsports and our No. 5 team,” said Kelley Earnhardt Miller, general manager of JR Motorsports. “TMC is no stranger to our sport, and we want to focus on building a strong and sustainable partnership with them in the Xfinity Series. We’re looking ahead to seeing Michael compete on track with TMC later this season.”
Annett, also a native of Des Moines, is competing in his ninth full-time season in NASCAR, and first with JR Motorsports. He is currently 12th in the NXS point standings following last weekend’s race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
