Strong Showing at New Hampshire Motor Speedway for Austin Dillon

“We had a strong Rheem/WATTS Chevrolet today, but unfortunately it fired off too loose at the beginning. I think that had a lot to do with the modifieds laying down a bunch of rubber during their race right before ours. Once we got going, the handling improved and we were just a little tight in traffic. Danny (Stockman, crew chief) did a good job adjusting on the car all day. We lost forward drive and side bite towards the end of the race but on the last pit stop, the boys fixed me up. It just wasn’t our day. We’ll continue to fight. A win is coming.”

Early Wreck Results in 33rd-Place Finish for Ty Dillon and WESCO Team at New Hampshire Motor Speedway

“First of all I want to thank WESCO for sponsoring us for this race. We had such a good Chevy. I think what happened today was pretty obvious. It was probably my fault for being in the back. I am very frustrated. What happened today isn’t how you race. You just don’t turn someone on the straightaway. I want to thank the WESCO crew for getting me back out there to get all we could get. We never give up. We’ll move on and prepare to do what we can to get us another win at the Brickyard.”

Brandon Jones Fights to 11th-Place Finish in Series Debut At Loudon

“This was a tough animal all weekend long. After the very first practice session on Friday, I didn’t think we would run this well. We were pretty far off from the fastest guys, but we really dialed it in there. It was a great team effort all around from the guys on this No. 33 team. It was really great to have Cometic Gaskets back on the car this weekend, and I’m glad we got a solid finish for them. I feel like we made it a lot better during the race by adjusting on it each pit stop. We tried to do a little pit strategy to get some track position in the middle of the race, but the cautions didn’t fall our way. It kind of paid off there, but not as much as we wanted. Still, a good effort by the team and we’re ready to go get them at Indianapolis next weekend.”

Brendan Gaughan Earns Best Career NASCAR XFINITY Series Finish at New Hampshire Motor Speedway

“It was a hard fought day at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. Shane (Wilson, crew chief) made great calls on adjustments and strategy to put the South Point Chevrolet in the best possible shape. We got cautions when we needed them, and the team performed excellent to make up position on pit road. We drove the heck out of it at the end and got the lucky dog. It was a complete day, thanks to all the teamwork and strategy. With a little luck, we were back  in the top-10 where the car belonged. A great performance by the team at Shane’s home track. We’ll take this ninth place finish and carry the momentum to Indy.”
