Brandon Gdovic to Pilot the No. 46 PITT OHIO Camaro in the Fitzgerald Glider Kits 300 at Bristol Motor Speedway

Reigning Lamborghini Gallardo World Champion, Brandon Gdovic, will return to the seat of the No. 46 Chevrolet Camaro for the Fitzgerald Glider Kits 300 at Bristol Motor Speedway on April 16th, 2016. Transportation and logistics enterprise PITT OHIO will debut as primary sponsor with Precision Performance Motorsports and Gdovic as he competes in his first NASCAR XFINITY Series race of the season. Multi-year partner WindStax® Wind Power Systems will return as a sponsor in 2016 as well.

Established in 1979, PITT OHIO is dedicated to providing their customers with the best value in its SUPPLY CHAIN, GROUND, Less-Than-Truckload (LTL) and TRUCKLOAD services. Headquartered in Pittsburgh, PA, PITT OHIO services the entire Mid-Atlantic and Mid-West regions and the remainder of the United States, Canada and Mexico with The Reliance Network. PITT OHIO promotes a sustainable and green approach business-wide, featuring Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design certified terminals and green energy use through Windstax® Wind Power Systems.

24-year-old Gdovic has remained busy throughout the start of 2016. He kicked off the racing season by competing in North America’s most prestigious road-course race, the Rolex 24 Hours of Daytona. He returned to Florida to coach NASCAR Whelen Euro Series drivers Anthony Kumpen and Ulysse Delsaux as they competed in the XFINITY and K&N Pro Series season openers, respectively. From there, Gdovic jumped behind the wheel of the No. 46 Verizon Camry for the inaugural K&N Pro Series East race at Mobile Speedway. But Gdovic is looking forward to returning to the XFINITY Series.
“I am looking forward to going back to my favorite circle track, this time in the XFINITY Series,” Gdovic said. “I have always loved Bristol Motor Speedway and can’t wait to get on track. I would like to thank PITT OHIO for coming onboard. With their support, I am hoping we pick up right where we left off in my last XFINITY race at Watkins Glen and have another good run.”

Veteran crew chief Mark Setzer will lead the XFINITY Series effort at Bristol Motor Speedway. Setzer served as Gdovic’s crew chief throughout the 2015 season and earlier this month at Mobile Speedway.

“I am excited to head to Bristol Motor Speedway and return to XFINITY Series racing,” said Setzer. “We had such a successful run in our last XFINITY race together and I am looking to continue building on our experience and have another strong showing.”

Gdovic graduated to the NASCAR XFINITY Series in 2015, posting a career-best finish of 13th at Watkins Glen International in his first race with Precision Performance Motorsports. He spent the season competing in multiple XFINITY Series races while simultaneously taking on the new challenge of sports car racing. The Virginia native joined Mitchum Motorsports in 2015 to pilot their Lamborghini Gallardo in the Super Trofeo Series. In 13 starts, Gdovic won top amateur honors 10 times, securing the North American Amateur Championship and the Gallardo World Championship at the World Finals event at Sebring International Raceway.

The Fitzgerald Glider Kits 300 at Bristol Motor Speedway will be televised live April 16th, 2016 beginning at 12:30 p.m. ET on FOX Sports 1 and broadcast live on the Performance Racing Network and SIRIUS XM Channel 90.
