NAPA knows how to give back

NAPA AUTO PARTS enters the month of July ready to give back in a big way during its third annual “Get Back and Give Back” philanthropic initiative with the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund. And this Friday night when Chase Elliott races at Daytona International Speedway, it’s the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund that will be showcased on his No. 9 NAPA Chevrolet. (Watch the paint scheme applied to the No. 9 NAPA Chevrolet here.)

In the month of July NAPA will credit a rebate of $25 to each consumer who buys a new battery, alternator, or starter. Each consumer will have the choice of donating a portion or all of the $25 rebate back to the not-for-profit Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund, and NAPA will donate a $1 out of their bankroll to each redeemed rebate.

Also debuting this week and running the entire month of July are two military-themed NAPA television commercials – the first, a 60-second ad entitled “Navy Veteran” and the second, a 30-second ad called “Broken Down Marine.”

Elliott, who is just four points behind Elliott Sadler in the NASCAR Nationwide Series point standings, will carry the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund to the 2.5-mile Daytona International Speedway this Friday night for the Subway Firecracker 250 (7:30 p.m. ET on ESPN2). Elliott debuted there earlier this year with a 15th-place finish.

Elliott enters the weekend leading the Sunoco Rookie of the Year standings with a 40-point advantage over Ty Dillon.
