Josh Reaume Buckle Up 200 Post Race Report

Josh Reaume made his second career NASCAR Nationwide Series(NNS) start on Saturday afternoon at Dover International Speedway, finishing 25th in the JGL Racing No.93 Dodge for the Buckle Up 200. Heading into the Buckle Up 200 the Redlands, CA native was focused on logging laps and gaining experience in his second career NNS start. After a 33rd place qualifying effort earlier in the day, Reaume and his JGL Racing team knew they had work to do in order to achieve a good finish. When the green flag waived, Reaume was quickly shuffled back to the 38th position, but he didn’t let that detour him in moving forward. When the caution came out on lap 17, Reaume had already moved up to the 33rd position. His crew lead by crew chief Greg Mixon worked hard all day to improve the tight condition of the car. Josh finally cracked the top 30 on lap 83, and continued to move forward. With 50 laps remaining Josh had moved up to the 28th position when the caution flew again. After one last pit stop for tires, fuel and adjustments, Reaume was able to move up to the 25th position when the checkered flag waived, a career best finish.

“When the race started I only had 35 laps around the Monster Mile, now I have around 230,” stated Reaume. “I learned so much over the course of the race. At the start we were really free, and that forced me to run the high groove to keep up my momentum. As we adjusted the car I was able to work my way down to the lower groove, and pick up speed. Dave made great calls on top of the box, and I was happy with how we progressed throughout the race. Our goals coming in were to learn, keep it off the wall, and get a top 30, getting a top 25 was an added bonus. I can’t thank everyone enough at JGL Racing, Colonial Countertops, Islandnet.com web hosting, and Tim&Brendas place for the opportunity to drive the No.93
