Landon Cassill has a lot of miles on the Monster Mile, the nickname of Dover International Speedway.
Cassill has raced in seven Sprint Cup, six Nationwide and one Camping World Truck Series race at Dover, one of the world’s fastest one-mile tracks.
He will need all that experience Saturday in the Buckle Up 200, the 12th race of the Nationwide season. High-banked and fast, Dover is one of the toughest tracks on the Nationwide circuit.
“I’ve run there a lot, and it gets your attention,” Cassill said. “The speeds are high. The corners come at you quick, and you drop off the turns onto the straights like falling into a canyon.”
Cassill will be driving the Meding’s Seafood/Iron Source Chevrolet in Saturday’s race. The 01 car will carry associate sponsorship from Southern Delaware Classic Cars and Tipco.
After four excellent finishes, Cassill was hit with a 30th-place run last week at Charlotte after late-race electrical problems. He’s in 12th place in driver points entering Dover.
