Elliott Sadler will honor his father, Herman Sadler, at Michigan International Speedway by placing his name above the door during the race on June 14th.
“I wouldn’t be where I am today if it wasn’t for the love and support from my father,” said Sadler. “He introduced me to racing at a very young age. I used to take my matchbox cars to the track and play with them while my family raced. I feel like this is a great opportunity for me to say thanks to my Dad and recognize him on a very special weekend for Fathers.”
In addition, Sadler will also reward one of his lucky fans with the opportunity to give a special gift to their father. Prior to the Michigan race, Sadler will launch a promotion where his fans can submit group pictures with their father to Elliott’s Twitter handle, @Elliott_Sadler, or to his official Facebook page (www.facebook.com/ElliottSadlerOfficial) including the phrase, #LetsGoRaceDad. A randomly selected winner will receive a VIP experience of a lifetime.
The #LetsGoRaceDad winners will receive VIP passes for a private meet and greet with Elliott Sadler, tour of the No. 11 OneMain Financial hauler, as well as two VIP garage / pit access passes.
“This race will be special to me since I’m honoring my father with his name above my driver door.” said Sadler. “I’ve never done this before and I thought the only way to make it an even cooler weekend would be to offer a NASCAR fan the opportunity to bring their Father out to the track so we can all celebrate Father’s Day together.”
