Cassill stopped by vibration in Texas

Front-end problems and a persistent vibration forced Landon Cassill to park the G&K Services Chevrolet 66 laps into Friday night’s O’Reilly Auto Parts 300 at Texas Motor Speedway.

Cassill finished 33rd.

Cassill’s Chevrolet developed problems early in the race as the front end dropped low on the track, causing issues with the splitter at the front of the car and hampering Cassill’s opportunities to advance. He eventually parked the car after the problem couldn’t be fixed behind the wall.

Despite the finish, Cassill remained in 14th place in Nationwide driver points.

Chase Elliott won the race, scoring his first Nationwide victory.

The series moves on to Darlington Raceway in South Carolina next week.
