Bill Henderson named Crew Chief for Viva Motorsports

Viva Motorsports announced today that Bill Henderson would assume Crew Chief duties for Jamie Dick and the No. 55 Viva Auto Group Chevrolet Camaro.  Henderson will take over the role effective immediately in preparation for the upcoming 2014 NASCAR Nationwide Series (NNS).

“Bill brings a lot of experience and knowledge to our organization, he has had a lot of success with multiple drivers”, said Driver/Team Manager Jamie Dick. “The addition of Bill to our team will help me as a driver and our team grow to be more competitive week in and out.”

Henderson joins Viva Motorsports after spending the 2013 season at Penske Racing serving as the car chief for the No. 12 Ford in the NASCAR Nationwide Series. In the 2013 season the No. 12 Ford won one race, four poles, 16 top-five finishes and a serious contender for the Nationwide Series Championship. Henderson brings five years of experience as a crew chief in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series with Rick Ware Racing, Front Row Motorsports, Prism Motorsports and Richard Petty Enterprises.  He also brings knowledge from the R&D departments of Joe Gibbs Racing and Wood Brother Racing.

“I am happy to be a part of the Viva Motorsports team, and am genuinely looking forward to working with Jamie,” said Bill Henderson.  “I like the challenge of building something and helping a young driver make his mark in the sport. I am at a point in my career where my experience and attitude are well suited for this opportunity and I’m ready to do my part to make good things happen.”

Jamie Dick and Viva Motorsports will begin their fourth season of NNS competition when the 2014 season kicks off at Daytona International Speedway in February.
