NNS: Kyle Busch Earns Phoenix Pole

Kyle Busch captured the pole for today’s 15th annual ServiceMaster 200 at Phoenix International Raceway with a time of 26.982 seconds, 133.422 mph. Kyle captured his 10th career NASCAR Nationwide Series pole this year for his 20th top-10 start in 2013.

Austin Dillon found himself second on the time sheet when the session ended with a time of 26.987 seconds, 133.398 mph. The series points leader will make his 27th top-10 start of 2013 today at Phoenix Raceway. Dillon was just 0.005 seconds off of the pole.

Kevin Harvick ended up third on the leaderboard after running a lap of 27.011 seconds, 133.279 mph. He qualified into the top-10 for his seventh time in 2013 and his 16th at the Phoenix Raceway.

Larson was the highest qualifying rookie in the 13th position with a lap time of 27.289 seconds, 131.921 mph.

Two drivers will go home as 42 cars attempted to qualify for the race. Those two drivers will be Morgan Shepherd and Dexter Stacey. Derrike Cope was the very first car out on the track in qualifying and crashed hard into the wall. Team does not have a backup car of their own, but will get one from another team.
