NNS: Texas Race Preview

This weekend the NASCAR Nationwide Series will head off to the Texas Motor Speedway for the ninth annual O’Reilly Auto Parts Challenge 300. The entry list currently features a total of 40 drivers to run this weekend. Kevin Harvick is the defending race winner.

Some of the drivers on this weekend’s entry list include, Blake Koch, Ricky Stenhouse, Jr., Matt Kenseth, Denny Hamlin, Ryan Ellis, Ty Dillon, Cole Whitt, David Starr, Carl Long, Bryan Silas, and Kevin Swindell.

Nine drivers will have to race their way into the race if another locked in car enters the event. Those drivers include, Blake Koch, Ricky Stenhouse, Jr., Matt Kenseth, Josh Wise, Joey Gase, David Starr, Carl Long, Morgan Shepherd, and Kevin Swindell.

Drivers Austin Dillon and Sam Hornish, Jr. currently separate each other by eight points with three NASCAR Nationwide Series races remaining this year. This will be time for both drivers to give it their all if they want to win the championship this year.

Ricky Stenhouse, Jr. will make an appearance back into the NASCAR Nationwide Series this weekend at the Texas Motor Speedway. The back-to-back championship winner the last two season’s has one career win in 2012 at the 1.5-mile oval.

Four Nationwide Series drivers of Kyle Larson, Trevor Bayne, Austin Dillon, and Elliott Sadler are running double duty this weekend with the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series.
