STP Joins Forces With Turner Motorsports At Chicago

Turner Motorsports is very pleased to announce that they are joining forces with STP® this weekend at Chicagoland Speedway, on a weekend in which the iconic brand is serving as title sponsor of the NASCAR Nationwide Series (NNS) race on Saturday and the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race at Kansas Speedway on Sunday.  The STP® logo, which has long been a presence in the sport, will be prominently featured on each of the team’s four entries in Saturday’s STP 300 – the No. 38 of Jason Leffler, the No. 32 of Reed Sorenson, the No. 31 of Justin Allgaier and the No. 30 to be driven by Mikey Kile.

When STP® stepped into the NASCAR scene in 1972, it forever changed the sponsorship landscape within the sport of auto racing.  Part of what made STP® an iconic brand within the sport was Richard Petty’s No. 43 car that dawned the classic Petty Blue and STP Day-Glo Red. Petty proudly drove the No. 43 STP car for many of his 200 wins during his racing career – 100 more than any other driver.

Turner Motorsports owner, Steve Turner, is honored to welcome STP® to Turner Motorsports as for this weekend’s race.

“The STP® brand has become synonymous with the NASCAR brand over the years. You don’t think of one without the other.  I am so pleased to have the opportunity to represent them this weekend at Chicagoland Speedway on a weekend when they will carry the spotlight by serving as title sponsor of both events.  To bring home a win for them on Saturday would be icing on the cake.”

“We’re very happy to be sponsoring the Turner Motorsports team during the STP 300 at Chicagoland Speedway,” said Dave Lundstedt, CEO of Armored AutoGroup Inc. “Each one of these drivers, embodies the winning spirit synonymous with the STP® brand. We are proud to be affiliated with them and show our support for drivers at every level, in multiple series.”
