David Ragan, driver of the No. 34 MDS Transport Ford, comments on racing at Indianapolis Motor Speedway:
"Indy is a special place. I grew up a stock-car fan, but I certainly remember watching the Indianapolis 500 with my family. And I remember in the mid-90s when NASCAR made its debut at Indy, that was a big deal and special for NASCAR.
"We've had some fun at Indianapolis, sitting on the pole there a couple years ago. But it's a tough racetrack. It's designed to be really tight for a lot of speed, so it's tough for stocks cars to race hard there. As you get into the corners, it's very easy to miss your marks. If you don't hit them just right, you can lose several tenths of a second. It's a challenge and it's different, but that's what's so fun about the Sprint Cup Series. You have different challenges every weekend.
"I'll be racing my late model at Lucas Oil Raceway on Friday and doing the Nationwide race on Saturday, and then, of course, the Sprint Cup race on Sunday, so we've got a busy weekend of racing at Indianapolis. We're looking forward to it."
