NASCAR’s Victory Lane Features Swisstrax at Las Vegas Motor Speedway

As the checkered flag waved upon the one-and-a-half mile tri-oval at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway NASCAR race, it signified the finish of the Kobalt Tools 400 Sprint Cup race. The celebration of Joe Gibbs Racing’s Matt Kenseth was just beginning. It started with a wave and a burnout to the 150,000 fans in attendance. It ended with a drive into Victory Lane.

A noticeable change to those in attendance and those watching on the Fox and SPEED channel broadcasts was Victory Lane’s distinct ground presentation – Swisstrax flooring. Interlaced with a large silver and black checkered pattern, the “World’s Finest Modular Flooring” had made its debut and mark in one of America’s most beloved and followed motorsports circuits. Swisstrax President Randy Nelson said, “NASCAR has such a rich history in motorsports racing and we were honored to be a part of this event and to provide a never before seen unique presentation to an age-old sport.”

Swisstrax, a U.S. manufacturer and distributor of modular interlocking floor tiles, holds its leading position in the market through putting its products in conditions that test the flooring’s strength and durability. Withstanding 70,000 pounds of rollover weight, Swisstrax flooring combines a top-notch aesthetic presentation while enduring the most adverse environments. Nelson said, “The opportunity to be the supplier of the flooring in Victory Lane showed that there is a product out there that can look stellar while also showing strength as it even held up to the winning car’s hot tires as it rolled up onto the floor.”

Always in search of the next winning formula, the Las Vegas Motor Speedway welcomed Swisstrax to their venue. “The addition of the Swisstrax flooring took the best Victory Lane in NASCAR to another level,” said Chris Powell, President of Las Vegas Motor Speedway. “The fans who visited Victory Lane for photos throughout the day enjoyed the upgraded look, and the television networks who broadcasted the events certainly took note of the professional appearance. We’re very appreciative of the efforts of our friends at Swisstrax for bringing this product to the Neon Garage and our Victory Lane.”

As tool shaped confetti flew in the air, the NASCAR weekend that weathered a downpour and cancelled day of practice and qualifying now beamed under the Las Vegas sun. As the Swisstrax flooring shined amidst both Nationwide and Sprint Cup series Victory Lane celebrations, adverse weather conditions still proved to be a complimenting factor that demonstrated the flooring’s non-slip attribute.

As Swisstrax was seen in Victory Lane and throughout the grounds of the speedway, positive comments on the flooring came from fans to prominent race engine building teams. “What I really like is the appearance of the Swisstrax flooring, the ease of installation, the ability to easily move it when needed and I don’t see any wear on it at all,” said Scott Rygol of Kroyer Racing Engines, a Las Vegas speedway facility that is led by President Kevin Kroyer whose rise to prominence came from his championship winning work within NASCAR and off-road racing.

With accolades from the motorsports industry’s elite, Swisstrax continues to be a driving force in leading the efforts in providing a flooring product that refuses to have to settle on limitations. With partnerships with Ford, Shelby, Barrett-Jackson and Petty’s Garage, Swisstrax flooring rises to the challenge of the industry’s elite and remains committed to providing a product that exceeds standards through continued efforts in research and development.
