Richmond Raceway Prepares to Host the Pro All Stars Series Commonwealth Classic on October 20

The inaugural Pro All Stars Series (PASS) Commonwealth Classic at Richmond Raceway (Richmond) is ten days away. The penultimate race of the PASS National Championship Series will showcase some of series’ biggest names at Richmond on Saturday, October 20. The PASS Super Late Models will be the highlight of the day with feature events for Tour-Type Modifieds, Late Model Stocks, Limited Late Models, and Street Stocks.

The entry lists for each division has been growing daily, including some notable additions last week. The Super Late Models have reached a car count of 30 entries with the addition of two of Canada’s brightest stars. Patrick Laperle and Martin Latulipee will compete and look to take the victory back to Great White North.

The Tour-Type Modifieds make their first return to Richmond since 2002. Whelen Modified Tour Champion Justin Bonsignore and five-time Tour Champion and University of Richmond’s Doug Coby will go head-to-head in an epic battle of skill. Fellow drivers Blake Barney, Sammy Rameau, Richard Savory, Chris Finocchario, and Kyle Soper will also look to score the victory in what is stock car racing’s oldest division.

The NASCAR-style Late Model Stocks will see both JR Motorsports drivers in the field. The team owned by former Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series driver and current NASCAR on NBC Analyst, Dale Earnhardt Jr., will field cars for Josh Berry and Sam Mayer. Berry has previously competed at Richmond in the NASCAR Xfinity Series driving for JR Motorsports.

The 75-lap feature event will see many of Racing Virginia’s best attempt to claim the checkered flag. Drivers Austin Thaxton, Mark Wertz, and Rodney Boyd will represent the Commonwealth at Richmond.

The Limited Late Models will see a handful of Virginians entered, including Richard Caldwell, Richard Storm, Doug Warren, Cole Bruce, and Reid Murphy. Thomas Chappel from North Carolina will also field an entry in this division.

The Street Stocks division will see drivers from both coasts fielding cars. Fans will be able to see drivers Randy Clark, Chris Flowers, Ricky Locklair Jr., Corey Hutchings, Jim McLaughlin, Cody Dermarmels, Jeff Melton, Rusty Blackford, Kenny Green, Chris Finocchario, Robert Divanna, Matt Gain, and Dillon Crouch all try their hand at securing the victory.
