Excessive track flooding from heavy overnight rain has forced the management of Mahoning Valley Speedway to postpone the weekend of activities that were planned for Saturday and rain-dated for Sunday.
Even though the weather has improved the situation remains with the overflow from the creek that runs adjacent to the back straight. Water has spilled over onto the staging area and also covered most of the track.
There is huge task of continuous pumping and with the diversity of classes that were to be presented it was decided to postpone the show until after Octoberfast.
At this time a viable date is being sought that will be favorable to all and will be announced ASAP. Mahoning Valley Speedway apologizes for any inconvenience that may have occurred.
The Dirt Modifieds have now been added to Octoberfast. The winner of the 50-lap race will earn $1000. More information will be forthcoming.
