CARS Tour Title Races At South Boston Speedway Moved To Nov. 3

South Boston Speedway and the CARS Tour announced today that the CARS Tour season-ending championship races have been moved to Saturday, November 3.

The double header, featuring a 125-lap CARS Late Model Stock Car race and a 125-lap CARS Super Late Model race, will be held in the afternoon on November 3. Originally the event was scheduled for October 13

 

“Since the schedule originally came out back in early fall, we’ve all thought about the 2018 CARS championship weekend and believe this is a better date for everyone,” said South Boston Speedway General Manager Cathy Rice. “We have traditionally had races the first weekend in November and the weather is very comfortable in the afternoon. We believe it’s going to be a great Saturday of racing.”

 

The CARS Tour season-ending championship events were held at South Boston for the first time in 2017, drawing a record number of cars for a packed grandstand. Deac McCaskill captured the 125-lap Late Model Stock race while Stephen Nasse won the 125-lap Super Late Model race.

 

Racing returns to South Boston Speedway on March 24, 2018 with the Danville Toyota NASCAR Whelen Late Model Twin 100s featuring twin 100-lap races for Late Models, a 50-lap race for the Limited Sportsman Division, a 30-lap race for the Budweiser Pure Stocks and a 15-lap race for the Budweiser Hornets.
