Virginia-based Federated Auto Parts (Federated) announced a renewal of its entitlement sponsorship of the 2018 fall Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series race at Richmond Raceway (Richmond). Next fall’s Federated Auto Parts 400 will also join a select group as the race moves two weeks later to the Monster Energy Series Playoffs on September 22, 2018. This will be the eighth consecutive year of Federated Auto Parts’ entitlement at Richmond.

The road to the 2018 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series championship will now lead through next fall’s Federated Auto Parts 400 as the track joins the select number of tracks (ten) who host a Monster Energy Series Playoff race. The Commonwealth of Virginia is the only state with a pair of Monster Energy Series Playoff races at Richmond and Martinsville Speedway. The NASCAR XFINITY Series Playoffs will also begin at America’s Premier Short Track.
Renewals for the 2018 NASCAR season are currently underway. Fans can renew their tickets now through November 3 as well as upgrade to the RICHMOND NATION Season Ticket program. Next fall will also see the unveiling of the track’s modernized infield, Richmond Raceway Reimagined, a $30 million redevelopment project. The new project will bring a variety of enhanced amenities for fans, teams, sponsors and other stakeholders to the iconic Richmond infield. Fan access is the focus of Richmond Raceway Reimagined, which will showcase new Monster Energy Series garages with a fan-viewing walkway. The new modernized infield will also include new interactive fan engagement areas, an 80-person club experience and two new suites.

Richmond Raceway is the home for NASCAR racing “under the lights” in 2018. Richmond hosts the Toyota spring race weekend “under the lights” on April 20-21, 2018, and returns in the fall with its first Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series and NASCAR XFINITY Series Playoff race weekend on September 21-22, 2018.
