Martinsville Speedway to Open Ticket Office on Saturdays Beginning September 16

With a trio of races over the next seven weeks, Martinsville Speedway is ensuring that fans have more opportunities to purchase tickets in person by opening the ticket office on Saturdays.

Beginning Saturday, September 16, the Martinsville Speedway Ticket Office, located at 340 Speedway Road in Ridgeway, will be open to the public from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The ticket office will continue to operate from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Fans will be able to purchase tickets for September 23rd’s ValleyStar Credit Union 300 Late Model Stock Car race, October 28th’s Texas Roadhouse 200 presented by Alpha Energy Solutions Camping World Truck Series Playoff race, or October 29th’s First Data 500 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series Playoff race.

“We want to make things as easy as possible on our fans with three exciting races coming up,” Martinsville Speedway President Clay Campbell said. “By opening our ticket office on Saturdays, it gives fans more options when it comes to purchasing their seats whether they want to stop by in person or call the track.”

In addition to purchasing tickets at the track, Martinsville Speedway’s website, www.martinsvillespeedway.com, remains open 24 hours a day, seven days a week for fans to purchase tickets or learn about different ticket options, special offers, exciting add-ons, camping and more.

They ValleyStar Credit Union 300 open test session will take place Thursday, September 14 with the grandstands open for spectators to enter for free.

The ValleyStar Credit Union 300 is NASCAR’s biggest, richest and most prestigious Late Model Stock Car race. Race day – Saturday, September 23 – starts with three 25-lap qualifying races to set the field, followed by a 25-lap “last chance” qualifying race. Last year, veteran racer Mike Looney won the $25,000 prize and the grandfather clock trophy after a thrilling late-race battle with Lee Pulliam.

The Texas Roadhouse 200 presented by Alpha Energy Solutions is the first race in the second round of the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series Playoffs. Last year, Johnny Sauter won the race, on his way to winning the series championship.

Kids 12-and-under are admitted free to the Texas Roadhouse 200 presented by Alpha Energy Solutions.

The Speedway will be celebrating its 70th anniversary during the First Data 500 on October 29. The First Data 500 is the first race in the Round of 8 of the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series Playoffs. If the winning driver is in the Playoffs, he or she would be the first to clinch a spot in the Championship race at Homestead-Miami Speedway. Last fall, Jimmie Johnson won his ninth grandfather clock, on the way to winning his record-tying seventh NASCAR Cup Series championship.

Tickets for all three races are on sale and may be purchased by calling 877.RACE.TIX or online at www.martinsvillespeedway.com.
