Larry King Law’s Langley Speedway Night at the Races Post Race Recap 5-27-17

As the summer like sun shines down and the temps begins to rise, so has been the intensity in the racing here at Larry King Law’s Langley Speedway. Another exciting week of local short track racing was set to go down on the .395 oval featuring its mere six degrees of banking in its tricky progressive corners. The track has developed quite the reputation of producing drastic changes from practicing in the afternoon to the racing at night. Another great crowd was on hand to bear witness in anticipation of side by side, beaten and banging racing that fans have come to expect. The evenings race card had the Cycle City Corp Bandeloros, Cycle City Corp Legends and back in action was the Pepsi Grand Stocks. Also highlighting the evenings racing was twin race features from the Harris Truck Shop Super Trucks and twin race features from the Larry King Law’s Modified division. As division point races starts to take shape, here is how the evening faired at Larry King Law’s Langley Speedway.

Cycle City Corp Bandeloros 15 Laps: Bradley Kilby was once again on the pole in the Bando division posting up a lap set at 21.566 seconds as Jacob Puttman would occupy the two spot on the grid. Connor Jones, Jacob Derrick and Autumn Weaver showing speed to round out the five best. Green flag waved and the pole sitter Bradley Kilby would go to work on the eight car field. In the early portions of the race, Puttman, Jones and Weaver would be in full chase mode before the three began racing each other just as the halfway point to the race was reached. While spots two, three and four was being decided, Kilby had a substantial lead and one that lead from the green to the checkers as Brandon Kilby picks up his second win in the Cycle City Corps Bandeloros series. Strong runs from Jacob Puttman, Connor Jones and Autumn Weaver respectfully.

Soon after the completion of the Banderloro feature, racing action at Larry King Law’s Langley Speedway was brought to a halt as storms moved in over the area. Track drying efforts began but because of the consistent threat of storms throughout the area. For our fans and for our race teams safety, the rest of the evenings race schedule was cancelled. Next week, June 3rd, race action continues at Larry King Law’s Langley Speedway when Late Model race action returns with Super Streets, Pro Six’s, Winged Champ Karts and Enduros all are on the schedule.
