Have a 1985-89 model year Ford vehicle? Want a once in a lifetime chance to show your car off at the Bojangles’ Southern 500 at Darlington Raceway September 1st – 3rd?
This year’s Official Throwback Weekend of NASCAR at the Bojangles’ Southern 500 will celebrate the 1985-89 era. The entire race weekend will be taken over with vintage vehicles and NASCAR Hall of Famers.
Ford Performance will serve as the official pace car for the event and is looking for vintage vehicles from the 1985-89 model years to participate in the weekend’s activities.
What We’re Looking For:
- A Pace Car: Serve as the honorary pace car and lead NASCAR’s top stars to the green flag prior to the Bojangles Southern 500. Also, the honorary pace car will participate in Saturday evening’s Southern 500 parade.
- Grand Marshall Cars: Four to six vehicles will participate in the prerace parade lap prior to the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series race. Cars will be used to drive dignitaries around the track and will participate in Saturday evening’s Southern 500 parade.
- Display Vehicles: Have your car featured in the Ford Performance consumer display at Darlington Raceway throughout race weekend.
