Virginia Native Gray Gaulding Takes Over RIR Social Channels at Speedweeks at Daytona

Fans will go behind the scenes at Speedweeks in Daytona as Virginia native and Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series driver Gray Gaulding takes over Richmond International Raceway’s social media channels. The 19-year-old Colonial Heights, V.A., native will be taking fans behind-the-scenes as he spends the week at Daytona International Speedway.

Gaulding was recently announced as the driver of the No. 23 Toyota Camry for BK Racing in the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series. However, Gaulding will not be behind the wheel of the No. 23 at Daytona. His season does not start until Atlanta, which allows him to give fans a unique driver’s perspective in the week leading up to the Daytona 500.

“I look forward to engaging with Richmond’s loyal NASCAR fans with a behind the scenes look into my daily routine on social media, said Gray Gaulding. “This week, I am preparing along with our team at BK Racing for a successful Daytona 500 and the new season ahead.”

Gaulding will kick off his takeover with a Facebook Live from the Richmond International Raceway Facebook page on Friday, February 24. He will take fans on a tour of the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Garage, where many fans will see some of their favorite drivers as they prepare for the Daytona 500. Gaulding will also host a Q&A to answer some of the burning questions fans have about the upcoming season.

On Saturday, February 25, Gaulding will move over to Twitter and take over the @RIRInsider handle. Fans will see everything from pre-race ceremonies to his own version of a grid walk just prior to the start of the Powershares QQQ 300 NASCAR XFINITY Series race at Daytona. Fans can follow along as Gaulding gives his insight during the opening race for the NASCAR XFINITY Series.

Lastly, on Sunday, February 26, Gaulding will leave his mark on RIR’s Snapchat, RIRInsider. Fans will be treated to an inside look at Gaulding’s day leading up to and during the 59th running of the Daytona 500. From filters to fellow drivers, fans will get exclusive behind the scenes content around The Great American Race from Gaulding.

To follow Gaulding’s week in Daytona, make sure you “Like” Richmond International Raceway on Facebook, follow @RIRInsider on Twitter, and add RIRInsider as a friend on Snapchat. Also, for updates from Gaulding throughout the 2017 season follow him on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and Snapchat.

Fans can see Gaulding when NASCAR returns to Richmond on April 28, 29, and 30 for the ToyotaCare 250 NASCAR XFINITY Series Dash4Cash race at 1 p.m. and TOYOTA OWNERS 400 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series race at 2 p.m. Kids 12 and younger are free in general admission seating areas for the ToyotaCare 250.

Richmond will crown the inaugural Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series regular season champion over Fan Appreciation Weekend on September 8-9. The Federated Auto Parts 400 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series race on Saturday, September 9, and the Virginia529 College Savings 250 NASCAR XFINITY Series race on Friday, September 8 is presented by Who’s Your Driver.
