Watkins Glen International, Watkins Glen Harbor Hotel reach promotional agreement

Watkins Glen International and Watkins Glen Harbor Hotel have announced a multi-year promotional agreement taking effect immediately and extending through the 2018 race season.

The Harbor Hotel has been Watkins Glen’s first choice for upscale accommodations in the heart of Finger Lakes Wine Country since the impressive AAA Four Diamond property was built on Seneca Lake in 2008. In addition to 104 well-appointed rooms and several meeting and event spaces, the Blue Point Grille and Coldwater Bar is open to the public seven days a week.

“The Watkins Glen Harbor Hotel has become a destination for visitors to the area no matter the time of year,” said Watkins Glen International President Michael Printup. “During race season, it’s common that many of our fans, competitors, crews, and support staff make their ‘home away from home’ right on Seneca Lake during their visit. We’re thrilled to continue our relationship with everyone at the Harbor Hotel.”

The renewed agreement between WGI and the Watkins Glen Harbor Hotel includes track signage throughout the season, marketing rights, and placement in several Watkins Glen International publications such as the annual Guest Guide and Finger Lakes Wine Festival presented by Yancey’s Fancy Taster’s Guide.

“Watkins Glen International is an economic engine of the Finger Lakes Region of New York State. Each year WGI hosts numerous spectator events, car clubs and festivals,” said David Hart President & CEO of Hart Hotels, Inc. “Tens of thousands of visitors trek to WGI each season to participate in these events. These visitors create significant lodging demand and consumer spending in the region. We are proud to partner with such an important venue and well run business.”
