Saturday night post-race festivities added to AMS race weekend lineup

Atlanta Motor Speedway has added to an already loaded 2016 NASCAR weekend lineup with the addition of AMS Fest, a high-energy Saturday-night fan party that will kick off following the XFINITY Series and Camping World Truck Series doubleheader on Saturday, Feb. 27

The inaugural AMS Fest will begin at 8 p.m., capping off a full day of on-track activity. The event will provide a casual, climate-controlled atmosphere with plenty of amenities, as the action moves from the track to AMS Fest ahead of Sunday’s Folds of Honor QuikTrip 500.

A live DJ, dueling mechanical bulls, corn hole competitions and other tailgating games, the Hop and Flop inflatable and a free s’mores station will highlight the event. Admission to AMS Fest will be free to anyone with a ticket to Sunday’s Folds of Honor QuikTrip 500.

“AMS Fest is another opportunity for us to welcome and thank our fans attending the Folds of Honor QuikTrip 500 Weekend,” said Atlanta Motor Speedway president Ed Clark. “We’ve put together a can’t-miss event, packed to the brim with exciting features as we celebrate Georgia’s largest racing event of the year.”

Fans may bring their own coolers and beverages to AMS Fest, though beer and snacks will also be available for purchase inside the party.

College students with a current student ID can purchase Sunday race tickets for just $19, which will grant access to the party. The discounted tickets are available by visiting atlantamotorspeedway.com/amsfest and using the promo code A16AMSFEST. Camping spaces for students can be added for an extra $20.
