Evergreen Announces ‘March Enduro Madness’ Enduros & Releases 2016 Season Schedule

Following a terrific turnout for Evergreen’s ‘Snowball 100s’ Enduros in early January, the track has decided to host yet another day of wintertime excitement on Saturday, March 12.

Like done for the Snowball event, three popular divisions are slated to take the first green flag on the afternoon of Saturday, March 12th– the 4-cylinders and 6/8-cylinders. Both will compete in 100-lap events and fight to the finish for the $500 prize. A third division, ‘Open Competition’, has been added for 50-laps of action and unlike the last event, this class will go out first, prior to debris being on the racing surface.

A handful of sponsors have jumped on board to help support the show as well, including several area businesses. Thanks to their support, not only will the top five finishers in each division receive money, but 6th through 10th in the 4-cylinder and 6/8-cylinder Enduro classes will each receive $25.

MoTorsport Video Production is offering a $50 CASH prize to the driver of the car with the coolest paint scheme in the 100s. This will be one overall prize (4-cyl. & 6/8-cyl. Mixed) and not one prize for each division.

In memory of former Factory Stock champion, Mike Moyer, Jr, who passed away four years ago, the Moyer family has decided to add something special to the payout in his honor. For the 4-Cylinder and 6/8-cylinder Enduros, $25 will be given to the seventh place driver on lap number seven. In addition, $50 will be given to the seventh place finishers in each of those two classes.

The concession stand will be open for business the day of the event..

The track is hosting a $10 discount for pre-registration. The form is on the speedway website and must be mailed in, along with the $40 pre-registration fee. Drivers may also register at the track the day of the event for $50. The transponder rental fee is $10 and pit admission is set at $25. The pit gates will swing open at 9:00 AM.

The grandstands are slated to open at 12 noon and grandstand admission is just $5. Children 10 years of age and younger will be admitted for FREE.

The speedway recently announced the release of their 2016 regular racing schedule, which features a variety of divisions, with time off for each. The schedule boasts Evergreen Modifieds, Tour Type Modifieds, Late Models, Dirt Modifieds, Pro Stocks, Street Stocks, Factory Stocks and Four Cylinders. Also on the card for a number of dates are the Atlantic Coast Old Timers, Kids Big Wheel races, plus Powder Puff and Mechanic’s race events. The season schedule is available on the speedway website.

The green flag is set to drop for the first event at 1 PM. For more information regarding ‘March Enduro Madness’ at Evergreen Raceway, please visit www.evergreenracewaypark.com. Please like their Facebook page as well.
