Race Lodging Gives more Options to Bristol Fans

Guests of Bristol Motor Speedway have even more options when making their plans to attend the Food City 500 weekend, March 18-20, courtesy of Race Lodging, LLC, the official lodging provider of BMS.

Managers at properties in Greeneville and Pigeon Forge, Tenn., and Asheville, N.C., worked with Race Lodging to create lower-priced that alternatives that include bus transportation to Bristol Motor Speedway and back.

“When we started working with local property managers nearly two months ago, we made them aware race fans were looking for relief,” said Bristol Motor Speedway General Manager Jerry Caldwell. “We shared with them what fans were telling us.

“At this point, around a dozen properties in the Tri-Cities area have made us aware they are participating in the program and have dropped their prices and night minimum from last year’s rates. But we’ve said all along we want to expand this program outside the immediate area and to other areas of the region. The folks at Race Lodging have helped us do that with these packages they have put together.”

In addition to the reduced and lower minimum night requirements, Race Lodging agents have worked to add bus transportation to and from the Food City 500 as well.  A full-service agency, Race Lodging can help visitors to BMS with more than just a place to stay.

Anyone interested in the pricing of these latest properties to join the partnership, starting at $75 a night, and the option of having someone else drive them to the event, may contact Race Lodging directly or through the link on the Bristol Motor Speedway website to learn more.

“We said a few weeks ago, when we announced the first five properties, that it was just the beginning of our efforts to offer more affordable lodging options to our race fans,” said Caldwell, “The list of properties in our area responding to what our race fans are telling us is growing by the week.

“We appreciate these properties making us aware of the changes to their requirements and working with our guests who are trying to decide where they are going to spend their vacations this year. This is just part of the larger effort taking place to accommodate race fans’ concerns. As we have said before, our guests still want to come to the races and our challenge is to remove any obstacles so that they can continue to enjoy the Bristol Experience.”
