Watkins Glen International is proud to announce the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series will return for the 30th consecutive year on Sunday, August 9, 2015. The weekend will also feature the NASCAR Nationwide Series Zippo 200 and NASCAR K&N Series Bully Hill Vineyards125.
“After an incredibly successful Cheez-It™ 355 at The Glen, we are excited to announce our date in conjunction with NASCAR for 2015,” stated Michael Printup, Watkins Glen International President. “For all of our dedicated fans, sponsors, and media contingencies, I thank them for their continued support. The racing on the track keeps getting better each year and I’m already excited about 2015.”
2014 was a major success for Watkins Glen International by all counts, as fans flocked to Upstate New York in nearly record numbers. Fans at home tuned in as well, as this year’s Cheez-It™ 355 at The Glen weekend saw an increase in television ratings for both the NASCAR Sprint Cup and Nationwide Series races.
Tickets for the 2015 season are expected to go on sale in late November 2014. Renewal information will be sent to 2014 ticket holders in early October, providing them with the first opportunity to purchase their seats and camping.
