MADVAPES, a leading electronic cigarette manufacturer is pleased to announce a new partnership with NASCAR Camping World Truck Series team, Eddie Sharp Racing. The Carolina based brand will be on board ESR's #6 Chevrolet Silverado for several events this season starting at Daytona with California driver Justin Lofton on the wheel.

"We are excited to join ESR, just like MadVapes they are the best at what they do so we are excited to promote our alternative to smoking in the great sport of NASCAR. E-Cigs emit a simple water vapor rather than smoke" says MadVapes CEO, Mark Hoogendoorn.

"Were extremely proud to represent MadVapes, their products are helping lots of people quit smoking and we feel great about that. It's also nice to have a new partner jump on board with us for Daytona where we plan to put the MadVapes Chevy up front", states veteran ESR driver Justin Lofton.

The NASCAR Camping World Truck Series Nextera Energy 200 will air live from Daytona on SPEED Channel Friday February 22nd at 7:30pm (EST). Please check your local listings for broadcast times and highlight shows.

Defending Sprint Cup champion and two-time Bristol Motor Speedway winner Brad Keselowski celebrated his 29th birthday Tuesday at the World’s Fastest Half-Mile in a big way.

Keselowski, who won last spring’s Food City 500, as well as the 2011 IRWIN Tools Night Race, was honored today by mayors Joel Staton (Bristol, Tenn.) and Jim Steele (Bristol, Va.) with a proclamation naming Feb. 12 as Brad Keselowski day in Bristol.

The proclamation recognized Keselowski’s success at Bristol Motor Speedway, his passion for racing at the iconic concrete track, his dedication to military members, and the work of his Checkered Flag Foundation, which supports those who have sacrificed greatly for their country, including U.S. military members, veterans, first-responders and their families.

Keselowski, who was also surprised by the BMS staff with a birthday cake and gifts, was taken aback by the proclamation.

“Well, I sure didn’t expect anything like this,” said Keselowski, who spent the afternoon skeet shooting with local members of the National Guard. “You guys really got me. I thought you might do something to surprise me but not having a day named in my honor. That’s really so cool.

“I love this place. I love racing here and I love the people around here. It’s always been a great place for me and I always look forward to coming here. And I can’t wait to get back here in 30 days.”

GameStop (NYSE: GME), the world’s largest multichannel retailer of video games, announced today Matt Kenseth, former Sprint Cup Series Champion and two-time Daytona 500 Champion, will be behind the wheel of the No. 18 GameStop Toyota this season. GameStop is partnering with Joe Gibbs Racing for a sixth season and will be a primary sponsor in 10 Nationwide Series races.

Kenseth last raced in the Nationwide Series in 2011 when he won his only start of that year in the May race at Charlotte Motor Speedway. During his career, Kenseth has started 248 races in the Nationwide Series and recorded 26 wins with 118 top-five and 168 top-10 finishes. He has also claimed 16 pole awards in the series.

“We are so excited to have a driver with Matt’s track record driving for us this season,” said Bob Puzon, vice president of merchandising for GameStop. “Not only is Matt a proven wheelman, he will be a great brand ambassador for us. Matt is a big gamer, and from what I hear, he loves to challenge his son Ross in some friendly game play on a regular basis.”

Since beginning its sponsorship with JGR in 2008, GameStop’s approach to its NASCAR program has been a unique one in the Nationwide Series. No other sponsor completely changes the car design for each of its races. The GameStop Toyota has featured more than 60 different paint schemes promoting a variety of popular video games, gaming systems and gaming accessories. Titles such as NASCAR The Game, Call of Duty, Max Payne and LEGO Batman 2, as well as Turtle Beach headphones and the PS Vita have been featured with one-of-a-kind paint schemes.

“I've been playing video games for as long as I can remember,” Kenseth said. “So, I'm pretty excited to be driving the GameStop Toyota for Joe Gibbs Racing in the Nationwide Series. The JGR teams were the class of the field last season, and GameStop has always created some pretty cool paint schemes, so I’m looking forward to what’s in store for this year. I can’t wait to get back on track in the series and hopefully take our No. 18 Toyota to Victory Lane.”

SR² Motorsports continues adding strength and stability to its organization. The team announced today that Jason White will join Blake Koch as the driver of one of the squad's three Toyota Camrys in its 2013 lineup. The number of races that White will compete in is not finalized, but his first race with the Buford, Ga.-based team will be the DRIVE4COPD 300 at Daytona International Speedway on Saturday, February 23. All of White's 2013 Nationwide Series starts will be with SR² Motorsports.

"I'm excited to be with SR² Motorsports," White said. "The commitment they've shown to improve and build upon is impressive. They exceeded expectations in their first season and we look forward to raising the bar this season. There's lots of potential and promise as we head into 2013."

SR² Motorsports made several advancements during the off-season which have it ready to continue the momentum of its inaugural season into 2013. These changes include promoting Benny Gordon to team general manager and lead crew chief, acquiring the assets of McDonald Motorsports and re-signing Blake Koch. Adding Jason White to the roster gives additional leadership and experience to the team, which has team owner Jason Sciavicco excited about the year ahead.

"I'm thrilled with the addition of Jason White to SR² Motorsports," said Sciaviccio. "He brings a lot to the table in terms of talent and abilities. His experience and determination will certainly be assets to our team as we continue to grow and mature as a team. He has proven to be a tremendous competitor and we look forward to working with him in 2013."

White made his first Nationwide Series start in 2001. Since then, he has competed in 40 events over the course of seven seasons.  He began driving fulltime in the Camping World Truck Series in 2008. Since then, he has scored nine top-fives, 21 top-10s and one pole. His best finish in the championship standings is 10th, which he achieved in 2010.

Continuing to build on one of the longest partnerships in racing, PPG Industries and Penske Racing today announced a multi-year extension of their relationship.

Pittsburgh-based PPG’s automotive refinish business, a leading worldwide supplier of high-performance coatings for passenger vehicles, motorcycles, heavy-duty trucks and many commercial applications, returns as a Penske Racing sponsor this season and beyond. The 2013 season marks the 29thyear of the successful partnership between Penske Racing and PPG.

The relationship continues to blossom, as PPG will once again serve as a sponsor of Penske Racing teams competing in the NASCAR Sprint Cup and Nationwide Series as well as the IZOD IndyCar Series.

This season, PPG Automotive Refinish will be the primary sponsor of the No. 12 Ford Mustang driven by Sam Hornish Jr. in the NASCAR Nationwide Series race at Daytona International Speedway on July 5. In the IZOD IndyCar Series, the No. 3 PPG Automotive Refinish Dallara/Chevrolet will compete at three events in 2013 with three-time Indianapolis 500 champion Helio Castroneves behind the wheel. The PPG IndyCar will race at Milwaukee on June 15, at Mid-Ohio on August 4 and at Baltimore on September 1.

“PPG has been a trusted partner of Penske Racing for nearly 30 years,” said Roger Penske. “We are proud of all we have accomplished together over the years and we look forward to another successful season racing with PPG in both NASCAR and INDYCAR in 2013.”

Penske Racing and PPG established their partnership in 1984 through PPG’s participation in motorsports and sponsorship of the PPG Cup from 1979 to 1999 in the CART Series, where Penske Racing teams competed. The opportunities between the two companies started with PPG providing paint for Penske’s race cars. Over the years, the relationship has grown and PPG has become Penske Corporation’s largest supplier of refinish coatings for its racing, truck leasing and automotive collision repair subsidiaries.

“Being part of the winning Penske Racing teams has been a special experience for PPG,” said John Outcalt, Vice President, Global Automotive Refinish, for PPG. “It’s been exciting to see this partnership that started at the race track continue to expand its success to other areas of business. We believe that 2013 will be another great year for Penske Racing, and we’re happy to continue the winning tradition with the team.”

Through the extended partnership PPG will also be an associate sponsor throughout the season on all Penske Racing NASCAR and INDYCAR teams.

The 30-year-old Patrick continues to be a fan favorite and looks forward to hitting the World’s Fastest Half-Mile, as well as spending time with her fans.

I really like racing at Bristol,” said Patrick. “And I think it’s kind of cool that we’re racing again on St. Patrick’s Day, which makes for an even more exciting weekend for the fans. What’s better on St. Patrick’s Day than the green Go Daddy car? We’ve done Q&As the last couple of times we’ve been to Bristol and it’s a lot of fun so I hope we have a lot of fans come out for it.”

Ticket packages include a cap and the opportunity to win a pair of hot pit passes from the drivers at the conclusion of the Q&A.

The K&N Pro Series East 125 takes place March 16 following Jeff Foxworthy’s Grit Chips 300. Tickets for the doubleheader are available, starting at $35 for adults and $17 for kids 15 and under.

Darlington Raceway is once again giving its fans the opportunity to receive the ultimate access, during pre-race ceremonies for the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Bojangles’ Southern 500 on May 11.

The track’s Daytona 500 special ticket package, which kicks off on Saturday, will give fans theability to watch Sprint Cup Series driver introductions from in front of the pre-race stage if they purchase any ticket to the Bojangles’ Southern 500 up until the checkered flag of the Daytona 500 on Sunday, Feb. 24.

“Our Daytona 500 ticket package was introduced in 2012 and was well received by race fans who obtained unprecedented access to Darlington’s driver introductions for the first time,” Darlington Raceway President Chris Browning said. “Because of the success of this special ticket package, we’re excited to bring it back for the 2013 Bojangles’ Southern 500.”

The offer begins on Saturday in conjunction with the track’s Community Watch Party, scheduled for 8 p.m. at Buffalo Wild Wings in Florence, S.C. The party unofficially kicks off the 2013 NASCAR season when the series competes in the Sprint Unlimited (formerly Bud Shootout) at Daytona International Speedway. The event will be broadcast live on FOX.

Darlington is teaming up with partners Crown Beverages, Eagle 92.9 FM and WBTW CBS 13 to kick off the season by hosting the fan favorite party. The event is free and open to the public.

The community watch party will feature food and drink specials courtesy of Buffalo Wild Wings and Crown Beverages and also give fans who attend the chance to win tickets, pit passes and pre-race ceremony wristbands, along with other prizes and giveaways.

“We appreciate our local race fans and this community watch party is a great way to celebrate the start of the 2013 race season with them,” Browning said. “We hope even more fans will join us this year and take advantage of the great food and drink specials and also purchase the Daytona 500 ticket package while they are there to get that special pre-race access.”

Fourth-generation racer Trey Hutchens is set to tackle the inaugural UNOH Battle at the Beach at Daytona International Speedway on Monday, February 18 behind the wheel of the No. 15 Trey Hutchens Racing entry.

Hutchens, currently preparing for his sophomore season in the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series (NWAAS), will attempt to qualify for the series’ non-points event on the 0.4-mile short-track on the backstretch at Daytona.

The race, scheduled to be broadcast live on SPEED at 7 p.m. ET, is part of a two-day NASCAR Home Tracks exhibition at the legendary venue that also features the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour and the NASCAR K&N Pro Series.

The high school freshman, who scored a fourth-place points finish and collected Rookie-of-the-Year honors in the American Speed Association Limited Late Model Series at Ace Speedway (Altamahaw, N.C.) in 2012, says he is ready for next week’s challenge.

“It’s still a bit surreal that I’m headed to Daytona during Speedweeks as something more than a spectator,” said Hutchens, son of JTG Daugherty Racing competition director, Bobby Hutchens.  “I’ve been to a few Daytona 500s with my father, but I never dreamed I’d have a chance to compete there the same week as the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series cars.  This race has been circled on my calendar for quite some time and my team has put a tremendous amount of work into it.  I guess you could say I’ve been waiting for this week my entire life.”

The 14-year-old is sponsored by Kroger, Herr’s Potato Chips, Kingsford and Technique Engineering Chassis Components for the UNOH Battle at the Beach with an Earnhardt-Childress Racing (ECR) Engines motor under the hood.

The A-honor roll student notched seven top-five and 14 top-10 finishes in 18 starts in last season’s ASA Limited Late Model Series at Ace Speedway. His immediate goals are to continue competing in the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series in a Late Model at Motor Mile Speedway (Radford, Va.) and Southern National Motorsports Park (Lucama, N.C.), and to complement that experience with a handful of NASCAR K&N Pro Series East races this year once he meets the mandated minimum age requirement of 15 years old in May.

This Week's Impala... Kyle Larson will climb into the seat of one of Turner Scott Motorsports' most successful ARCA Racing machines at Daytona International Speedway.  The No. 4 Cessna Chevrolet Impala team has prepared chassis TMS-002 for competition at Daytona International Speedway. This specific chassis powered to the front to lead the final lap and win its most recent start at Talladega Superspeedway in May 2012.

First Time For Everything... Larson heads to Daytona International Speedway with hopes to make his first career restrictor-plate start. Though he hasn't previously raced on a stage as big as the 2.5-mile Florida track, Larson has confidence that he'll quickly pick up on the new skill set.

"I think the toughest part for me will be just learning the draft, finding a partner and getting used to pack racing," Larson explained. "I   think learning how to suck up to the back of another car could be somewhat of a challenge. I've raced on a lot of different tracks in different situations before though, so hopefully it won't take too long to figure it out and we can be up front at the end to battle for the win."

Taking Flight With Cessna... Riding on the hood and quarter panels of the No. 4 Impala this week is the world's leading general aviation company, Cessna. Since its inception in 1927, Cessna has designed, produced and delivered more than 193,500 airplanes around the globe. This includes more than 6,300 Citation business jets, making it the largest fleet of business jets in the world.

Kicking off 2013... Larson's first focus will be the Lucas Oil 200 on Saturday, but the 20-year-old Earnhardt Ganassi Racing development driver has his sights set on his new opportunity with Turner Scott Motorsports in the NASCAR Nationwide Series (NNS). Upon completion of the 200 mile ARCA contest and subject to NASCAR's approval, Larson will make his first NNS start in the DRIVE4COPD 300 at Daytona in the No. 32 Clorox Chevrolet Camaro.

No Down Time... Aside from wheeling the No. 4 Cessna Chevrolet Impala prior to climbing into the No. 32 Clorox Chevrolet Camaro for Turner Scott Motorsports, Larson is scheduled to run the UNOH Battle at the Beach, held on a temporary 0.4-mile short track on Daytona's backstretch. The two-day show will feature three non-points special events from the NASCAR K&N Pro Series, the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tours and the Late Model division of the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series, with Larson piloting an entry in all three divisions.

Watch and Listen...The Lucas Oil 200 presented by MAVTV America Real can be seen live on Saturday, February 16, on SPEED.  Race coverage will begin at 4:30 p.m. EST. Live timing and scoring will also be available on

Kyle Larson Daytona International Speedway

"Daytona is a huge place and any time you get to race somewhere with so much history, it's really exciting. I'm just really ready to get in the car and see what we can do. Since it's my first time on a restrictor plate track, I think it'll be a good learning experience. Hopefully we can stay out of trouble and prepare ourselves for the rest of the season. The No. 4 Cessna Impala that my team has prepared has always been fast in all of the races it's been in, and I think we have a good strategy to get up front again."

Veteran road racer Max Papis is scheduled to compete in three NASCAR Nationwide Series races in 2013 under the Richard Childress Racing banner, including two road course races and one oval event, driving the No. 33 Menards/Rheem/WESCO/Armour Vienna Sausage/Hunt Brothers Pizza/Fast Fixin' Chevrolet Camaro.

Since then, his skill behind the steering wheel has taken him throughout the world to compete in, among others, NASCAR, Formula 1, Indy Car, and sports car racing, including the 24 Hours of Daytona and 24 Hours of LeMans endurance races and V8 Supercar.

"Having the trust and support of a man like Richard Childress and partners like Menards, Rheem, WESCO, Armour, Hunt Brothers Pizza and Fast Fixin' shows me how far I have come in NASCAR," said Papis. "With RCR and ECR Engines, I will have the best opportunity in my career to accomplish my goal of winning a NASCAR race. It fills my heart with joy to know that I did enough to earn an oval race opportunity and I will make everyone proud of their decision."

RCR will field two fulltime Nationwide Series teams in 2013 as well as an all-star lineup with the No. 33 Menards/Rheem/WESCO/Armour Vienna Sausage/Hunt Brothers Pizza/Fast Fixin' team. Brian Scott will drive the No. 2 Shore Lodge/Armour Vienna Sausage/Fast Fixin'/Husky Liners Chevrolet and Austin Dillon, the 2012 Nationwide Series Rookie of the Year, will drive the No. 3 AdvoCare Chevrolet Camaro. The rest of the No. 33 driver lineup will consist of Dakoda Armstrong, Ty Dillon, Kevin Harvick, Paul Menard, and Tony Stewart.

"Max brings a great deal of talent and energy to the race track and everywhere else he goes," said Richard Childress, president and CEO of Richard Childress Racing. "He's worked with some of our younger drivers to make them better road course racers, specifically, and also their overall approach to racing. We know Max will do a great job for RCR and the No. 33 team on whatever track he's racing."
