Tim Bell Back in NASCAR K&N Pro Series East for Loudon

The journey continues for sports car driver turned NASCAR driver Tim Bell.  Life has changed drastically over the last six months for Bell as he embarked on his NASCAR journey.  The 23-year old moved from his hometown in California to North Carolina, found a home, job and a rejuvenated outlook on racing.  These days, if you see Tim Bell at the race track, the smile doesn’t leave his face and the confidence he has within himself can be heard in his voice.  That confidence and attitude will be on display this coming weekend as the highly talented field of the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East will enter the same gates as the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series drivers at New Hampshire Motor Speedway for the eleventh event on their 2012 schedule.  The  G-Oil100 marks the first event in which Bell will run a race circuit of one-mile in distance or greater as he looks to continue his certification process through the ranks of NASCAR.  The momentum is certainly flowing positively in Bell’s direction and by his comments below; he understands the milestone and challenge that is before him. 

“This weekend is yet again another milestone in my young racing career as I get the opportunity to race on a one-mile race track for the first time” Bell explained.  “I can’t wait to get up to speed and see what it feels like to finally open up a 650-horespower NASCAR stock car!  As long as the other drivers play nicely and we can stay out of trouble, this should be a very good weekend in my NASCAR career.”

The festivities at the New Hampshire Motor Speedway will begin on Friday, September 21st with practice sessions.  Qualifying will be held at about 2:00PM ET on Friday, with green flag expected to drop around 2:30PM ET on Saturday, September 22nd.  Coverage of the race will be aired on SPEED, September 27th at 3:00PM ET.  Come on down Saturday afternoon as Bell gets behind the wheel of his #74 Creation Cope Racing MakeDirect Chevrolet Impala.
