20th for Akinori Ogata at Langley in Eneos Motor Oil No 49

Akinori Ogata made his 2nd career start in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series Saturday night for MacDonald Motorsports.  After recording a 15th place run at Gresham Motorsports Park a few weeks back, Akinori drove his ENEOS Motor Oil No. 49 Toyota to a 20th place finish at Langley Speedway.

“We worked really hard on the racecar all day and made some major changes during practice to get the car the way Akinori wanted it,” explained crew chief Mark Durgin.  “Unfortunately we sustained some damage on the third lap and we couldn’t get his ENEOS Motor Oil No. 49 back how it was during practice.”

The 20th place run for Ogata puts the MacDonald Motorsports No. 49 in a three way tie for 12th in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East owners standings.

The MacDonald Motorsports crew will take a few weeks off from NASCAR K&N Pro Series competion before heading north to CNB Bank Raceway Park in Clearfield, PA on July 14th.  The Samuel 150 will mark the 8th race on the 2012 schedule and the beginning of the 2nd half of the season.
