Todd Gilliland Set to Drive No. 54 DGR-Crosley Entry in K&N East Finale

DGR-Crosley announced today that Todd Gilliland will compete for them in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East (NKNPSE) finale at Dover (Del.) International Speedway next weekend. Gilliland, a two-time NASCAR K&N Pro Series Champion, will fill the seat of the team’s No. 54 entry alongside his former teammate Derek Kraus and the 2018 NKNPSE Champion Tyler Ankrum.

The 18-year-old NASCAR Camping World Truck Series regular has two previous starts for DGR-Crosley in the K&N Pro Series this season at New Smyrna Speedway and Bristol Motor Speedway. In those starts, Gilliland led for a combined 260 out of 325 laps and was victorious in both races. The No. 54 Toyota Camry that he will pilot in the Crosley 125 is currently locked-in to second place in Owner Point standings and has two wins this season.

“I’m excited to get back in the K&N car at Dover,” said Gilliland. “I wasn’t planning on running any more K&N races this year, so it’s pretty cool to get this opportunity to get back in the 54. We have some new partners coming on board, hopefully we can pick up our third win this season and get them to victory lane.”

Gilliland has three career starts at “The Monster Mile,” two in the Truck Series and one in the NKNPSE. Earlier this year, while racing for Kyle Busch Motorsports, Gilliland earned his first top-10 finish at the one-mile track in Dover, Del. However, he hasn’t forgotten how his luck played out in 2017 when a flat tire cost him the K&N East Championship.

“We’re going back to Dover next weekend looking for redemption,” remarked Gilliland. “I know Chris [Lawson, Crew Chief] and the guys will bring me a fast Toyota Camry, and hopefully this time around we’ll have a little more luck on our side. It would be pretty cool to put a DGR-Crosley car in victory lane for the Crosley 125.”

A sponsorship announcement for Gilliland and DGR-Crosley will follow in the coming days.
