PCA Club Racing GTB1 Competitor Dadkhah Inspired by Porsche Enthusiast Father in Racing and Life - Speedway Digest

Chicago real estate agent and attorney Mo Dadkhah first started attending Porsche Club of America (PCA) events with his father when he was 12. Now, Dadkhah’s dad, Shahriar Dadkhah who joined PCA Club Racing in 1996, joins his son at all of his events on the track.

“My dad would load up his car and go from track to track and rent a hotel and I was checking his tire pressure from when I was just a kid,” Dadkhah said.

Dadkhah drove go karts and jumped into PCA Club Racing right when he turned 18. His first race was at Blackhawk Farms Raceway in South Beloit, Illinois.

During his recent 2017 season, he competed in the GTB1 class. One of his best races was during the 25^th The Road America Challenge (TRAC) Porsche Club of America (PCA) Club Racing event at Elkhart Lake’s iconic Road America road course.

“Road America was our first race weekend of the year – we had transponder issues and had to start in the back, but Sprint 2 was one of the best races I’ve ever had,” Dadkhah said. “I ended up passing around 15 cars after starting from the back.”

Dadkhah followed Sprint 2 up with a third-place finish in the 90-minute enduro race in his No. 501 entry the next day.

“Road America is my favorite weekend of the year – my favorite place to be,” he said. “I used to come up to Road America when my dad was racing and I love this place.”

Another memorable race moment for Dadkhah was during a 2008 race event at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course. Dadkhah and two other competitors were first, second and third overall but showed up at the grid with less than five minutes to go, so they had to start in the back. Then the three worked their way back up to gain the top three spots.

In his spare time, which he admits he doesn’t have much of, Dadkhah said he enjoys hanging out with his dog Maverick and his girlfriend, plus doing jiu-jitsu and boxing.

“My dad inspires me in almost every single way,” Dadkhah said. “He inspired me to race and when I was 12 and he hasn’t missed any of my races that I’ve ever done.”

Next season, the ambitious driver plans to kick off his season at Sebring International Raceway in February and compete in PCA Club Racing’s 2018 Pirelli Triple Trofeo Championship.
