Raphael Lessard in Florida for the Southern Super Series’ Championship race

Raphaël Lessard made his way to Florida this week to participate on Saturday evening in the Deep South Cranes 125, the final race of the Southern Super Series’ (SSS) championship in Pensacola, located on the western-most point of Florida, on the Gulf of Mexico.

Saddened by his misfortune of last weekend at the Toledo Speedway when he was forced to call-it-a-day mid-race, the young driver from the Toyota Racing Development  (TRD) program hopes that this visit to the Sunny State will put him back on the winning track. Before Toledo, Lessard and gathered six consecutive Top 10, among them two 3rd place podiums.

Lessard will be joining regular foes such as Bubba Pollard, the winner of the 2016 race, and presently 3rd in the SSS Championship standings. All Super Late Model drivers are in “prep” mode as they will all be heading to Nashville next week to partake in the All-American 400, a grueling 400-lap race with the best drivers in America.

This weekend’s Deep South Cranes 125 in Pensacola is a 125-lap race which will be broadcast live online. You can also follow Raphaël’s on track performances, at minimal cost and in real time, on Race-Monitor.com. Look for the SSS Deep South Cranes 125 in their listing.
