Jim Sauter, Jr. Announces Partnership with Marion Cole - Speedway Digest

Jim Sauter Jr. and Sauter Auto Racing (SAR) are proud to announce the formation of a partnership with former racing mechanic and car owner, Marion Cole.

Cole began racing in 1959 and for a brief time he was a junior mechanic on a NASCAR team. He accepted a job in telecommunications, which had him traveling across the U.S.

Finally, Cole settled in Wausau in 1967, where he began racing once more. He enjoyed his time as a mechanic and owner in CWRA from 1967 through 1974. Although he “retired” as an owner following those years, he has maintained an interest in racing to this day.

Marion now resides in Florida, but he has plans to return to his roots with his wife, Mary, in Wausau, WI for the summer to partner with Jim Sauter Jr. for their new venture.

The two will partner to form the Sauter-Cole Racing Team.
