Brady Boswell’s Bid for Top-Five finish runs Dry in the Music City 200 at Fairgrounds Speedway

Brady Boswell driver of the No. 98 Chevrolet for Mason Mitchell Motorsports (MMM) had no problem knocking off the rust Saturday evening in the “Music City.” It marked Boswell’s first ARCA race and his second overall race since the 2014 season.

The 19-year-old from Watkinsville, Georgia got up to speedy quickly around the half-mile qualifying an impressive fifth for the second race of the 2016 season.

Boswell ran among the top-five all night long and took the lead from veteran John Wes Townley on lap 118. The No. 98 machine would lead the next 44 circuits around the historic track.

During the longest run of the evening (79) laps, Boswell fell back to the sixth position and looked poised for a top-10 run until the fuel tank ran dry forcing him to make an unscheduled pit-stop with 4 laps remaining.

Boswell would return to the track and finish in the 15th position in his ARCA debut.

“This was one of the best racecars I have ever driven,” Boswell stated after the race. “I was saving tires when I was out front and was pulling away.”

“I am proud of the whole effort by Mason and this entire team. They put a lot of time and effort into the car at the shop and the track. It always feels good to know how much your team wants to succeed.”

The Music City 200 will air on the American Sports Network on June 2nd. Visit their website to check for cable channel information.

Next up for the ARCA Racing Series is the Salem Speedway located in Salem, Indiana. It marks the 99th ARCA race at the ultra-high banked track. The Kentuckiana Ford Dealers 200 is scheduled for Sunday, April 24th with the green flag waving at 2:15 p.m. EST. Arcaracing.com will have live timing/scoring for all on-track activity.
