Levine Picks Up Another Top Ten Plus Another Hard Charger Award At Iowa Speedway

David Levine raced from 17th on the starting grid to a 10th place finish in the #ThisIsMySpeedway150 at Iowa Speedway on Friday, picking up his 7th ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards top ten finish of the year. His battle from mid-field into the top ten earned David the CGS Imaging Hard Charger Award for the race.

After losing a lap early in the race, David received the free pass on the second of nine caution periods. He avoided involvement in all of the on-track incidents, and steadily moved up from his starting spot to gain the most positions of any driver in the race. This is his second Hard Charger Award this year.

His finish will extend his lead in the Scott Rookie Challenge standings, and maintain his position at 5th in the overall ARCA Racing Series driver points standings.

After the race, David commented: “We were unlucky in the draw for qualifying, and went out early with rubber from Indy car practice still on the track. I had no grip, and it resulted in our mid-pack starting position. We ended the day with another lead-lap, top ten finish – which is what we need to keep doing to keep my lead in the Rookie Challenge standings and stay within striking distance of the top three in points. We’re pushing hard to get our first top five finish though – so hard that I broke the gas pedal on one of the last restarts!”

David will return to ARCA Racing Series action on Friday when the visits Lucas Oil Raceway for the Sioux Chief PowerPEX 200 presented by Federated Car Care.
