NASCAR K&N Pro Series East Points Leader, William Byron, Set for ARCA Debut with Venturini Motorsports at Lucas Oil Raceway

Fresh off his fourth NASCAR K&N Pro Series East (NKNPSE) victory Friday night at New Hampshire Motor Speedway, 17-year old William Byron will make his ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards driving for Venturini Motorsports at Lucas Oil Raceway on July 24th. The Charlotte native will drive the No.55 Liberty University car for Venturini Motorsports.

“I’m thrilled to become a part of Venturini Motorsports this weekend for the ARCA race at Lucas Oil Raceway,” said Byron. “The ARCA Series will be a new adventure for me. I’m confident in this program and know we have a shot at a strong finish. I love new challenges and I’m ready to compete this weekend.”

Byron, who’s currently leading the 2015 NKNPSE championship point standing driving for HScott Motorsports with Justin Marks, is in the midst of a breakout rookie season notching four wins, two pole awards, five top-5 and 6 top-10 finishes in just eight series events. Byron also continues to compete for NASCAR star Dale Earnhardt Jr.’s Late Model program at JR Motorsports (JRM) on weekends the K&N Series does not compete. Byron signed with JRM in January of 2014.

Byron, a familiar name in North Carolina, was crowned U.S. Legend Car Young Lion Division National Champion in 2013 and the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series (NWAAS) North Carolina Late Model Rookie of the Year in 2014. Byron competed over several series in 2014 gaining experience in full-size stock cars: US Legend Car Pro Division, NWAAS Late Model division, and select Pro Late Models. Byron competed 56 times and earned 24 pole awards, 11 wins, 29 top-three finishes, and 37 top-five finishes over the course of the year.

Prior to racing in New Hampshire, Byron joined Venturini Motorsports last week in Indianapolis for a one day test at Lucas Oil Raceway.
