Red Bull Global Rallycross (GRC) Supercar driver, Patrik Sandell of Sweden will run for the newly announced Bryan Herta Rallysport (BHR) team in 2015. Sandell will pilot the No.18 Kobalt™ Tools BHR prepared entry beginning at the series debut race in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. on May 30.
“Patrik Sandell brings a great deal of experience and success to us as we embark on this exciting new project in the Red Bull Global Rallycross Series,” said team owner Bryan Herta. “Kobalt Tools is a terrific brand that fits extremely well with our team and the toughness of the series. Together we’ll form a combination that challenges for wins from the first race of the season. ”

Sandell, who won the Washington, D.C. round of GRC in 2014, will combine his vast rally racing experience with the depth and knowledge of an Indianapolis 500 winning team to challenge for the GRC Supercar title. The former Junior World Rally Championship winner finished sixth in both the 2013 and 2014 GRC Supercar championships.
“I always start every season with one goal: to win the championship. Nothing has changed this season,” said Sandell. “But I also have one year more experience now, so I know better to be smart and how to get to that top spot on the podium for BHR and Kobalt Tools.”

Co-Founded by veteran driver Bryan Herta and Sean Jones of 7R, Inc., Bryan Herta Rallysport (BHR) will debut in the 2015 Red Bull Global Rallycross Series. Herta is best known as a winning IndyCar driver and owner of Bryan Herta Autosport, the 2011 Indianapolis 500 championship team.
