Will Gallaher Joins Wauters Motorsports Driver Development Program

Wauters Motorsports announced today that Will Gallaher will join Wauters Motorsports driver development program.  Gallaher, a California native, will drive for Wauters in the Southern Super Late Model Series in 2014.

Gallaher at age 18 began racing in F-1600 Formula Cars competing at tracks along the West Coast. He then moved into the United Auto Racing Association (UARA) Series, as well as, making three starts in the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards.

“This is a great opportunity to work with a veteran late model owner and crew chief,” Will Gallaher said.  “Richie Wauters has a great reputation in both the short track series as well as in the NASCAR ranks.  Racing with his team will allow me to build the framework needed to move into the NASCAR touring series- which is my goal.  I’m looking forward to getting some testing under our belts and heading to the first race.”

Wauters Motorsports will focus on bringing Gallaher up through the Super Late Model racing series and then into the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series.

“We are really excited about having Will (Gallaher) join the driver development program we have here at Wauters Motorsports,” Richie Wauters said.  “Will has a lot of potential and we will be running him, my son Spencer and John Wes Townley all through the year in the late model series to give them seat time and Will more experience in these types of cars.

Will Gallaher is slated to make his first start later this spring in the Southern Super Late Model Series.
