Ranger Takes K&N West Win at Miller Motorsports Park

TOOELE, Utah – Andrew Ranger pulled off a come from behind win to claim the iON Camera Utah Grand Prix on Saturday at Miller Motorsports Park.

Pursley, who was looking for his fourth consecutive victory at Miller, was forced to settle for second, his fifth top five in five career starts at the track. He was followed by Dylan Lupton, Michael Self and Matt Tift.After beginning the race from the tail-end of the field, Ranger strategically moved his way around the 2.2-mile road course, passing all but one car by lap 42. The Roxton Pond, Quebec, native was in perfect position to claim the lead after then race leader Cameron Hayley spun-out on the 47th lap. Ranger would survive a green-white-checkered finish and a late push from Greg Pursley to earn his second series win in seven starts.

Cameron Hayley, Daryl Harr, Austin Cameron, Derek Thorn and Carl Harr completed the top 10.

The NASCAR K&N Pro Series West next travels to NAPA Speedway in Albuquerque N.M., on Sept. 28 for the NAPA Auto Parts 150 presented by NAPA AutoCare Centers.
