Landon Cassill scored his best finish of the Nationwide Series season Saturday, roaring to an eighth-place run in the Aaron’s 312 at Talladega Superspeedway.
Cassill rode the Talladega draft over the closing laps to claim eighth, solidifying his spot in 12th in the driver point standings and moving within one point of the top 10.
“It was another wild race at Talladega, and we were in the right place at the right time,” Cassill said. “We had a really good, really fast car, and we were able to work through the trouble on the track. It was a fine day.”
Cassill, driving the Flex Seal Chevrolet, moved from 15th place up to eighth over the closing seven laps to score his first top 10 of the season.
