Austin Wayne Self Pre-Race Quotes:

On Kansas Speedway: “I have a lot of experience at Kansas, probably the most of any 1.5-mile track that we run in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series. I think that holds significant value as we approach the race this weekend.

“We are bringing our Atlanta truck and it had a lot of speed there and I’m hopeful it can do the same on Saturday night and put our team back on the map. We really need a good run and Kansas I think can deliver a much-welcomed remedy for our AM Racing team.”

On 2022 Season: “We had a great first three races to the 2022 Truck Series season but have suffered bad luck in the last four races at COTA, Martinsville, the Bristol Dirt and even last weekend at Darlington. The frustration level has certainly pegged but we are trying not to get down as a team because we realize we are bringing fast race trucks to the track.

“We will continue to fight to put our season back on the right path and hope it will mean that we have paid our dues for the rest of the year when it comes to bad luck.”
